Can you print images made with ChatGPT? Yes. Here's how.

Yes. Ask ChatGPT to put your image into a print-ready PDF at the real size of what you're printing, with the text and background drawn as vectors. Send that PDF to VISKO from the same chat. We check it, a person reviews it, and we print it in Australia.

How big your image can go

A ChatGPT image has about 1.5 million pixels, as of October 2026: a wide 2:1 image is about 1774 × 887. Here's how far that stretches if the image fills the whole print:

PrintPixels per inch at that sizeResult
Business card, 90 × 55 mmabout 450Sharp
A4, 210 × 297 mmabout 130Good
A3, 297 × 420 mmabout 90The bare minimum
Sign, 600 × 900 mmabout 43Too soft as a full background
Banner, 1000 × 2000 mmabout 23Too soft as a full background

That's only if the picture covers the whole print. If it's one part of the design, it only needs enough pixels for that part. A 1774 × 887 image can be placed up to 500 mm wide (300 mm for the sharpest result), and the headline, colours and logo around it can be vectors, which stay sharp at any size.

From image to printed banner

  1. Make or pick your image in ChatGPT. Keep words out of the picture: AI images often get letters wrong, and text inside a picture blurs when it's enlarged.
  2. Ask ChatGPT for the PDF. By default it only shows you a small preview image, and it won't make a print file unless you ask. Copy the prompt for your size below.
  3. Send it to VISKO. With VISKO connected, upload the PDF in the chat. It's checked in seconds.
  4. Pay and approve your proof on visko.com.au. Then we print it in Australia and deliver it.
Banner, 1000 × 2000 mm
Make a print-ready PDF for a 1000 × 2000 mm portrait banner using my image. Page size 1010 × 2010 mm including 5 mm bleed on each side. CMYK colours. Keep all text and logos at least 35 mm from the trimmed edge. Draw the text and background as vectors, embed the fonts, keep total ink at or below 300%, make small text 100% black, and place my image no wider than 500 mm.
Sign, 600 × 900 mm
Make a print-ready PDF for a 600 × 900 mm portrait sign using my image. Page size 610 × 910 mm including 5 mm bleed on each side. CMYK colours. Keep all text and logos at least 5 mm from the trimmed edge. Draw the text and background as vectors, embed the fonts, keep total ink at or below 300%, make small text 100% black, and place my image no wider than 500 mm.
Poster, A2 (420 × 594 mm)
Make a print-ready PDF for an A2 portrait poster (420 × 594 mm) using my image. Page size 430 × 604 mm including 5 mm bleed on each side. CMYK colours. Keep all text at least 5 mm from the trimmed edge. Draw the text as vectors, embed the fonts, keep total ink at or below 300%, make small text 100% black, and place my image no wider than 500 mm.

We tried it. Asked this way in October 2026, ChatGPT built a banner PDF with the right size and bleed, CMYK colours and the words drawn as vector shapes, with its photo at 100 ppi. Our check passed it, with two notes for the proof: a few decorative shapes sat inside the safe area, and the photo was below our ideal 150 ppi. It didn't watch the total ink on its own: the black background came to 294%, just under the limit. That's why the prompts above ask for it.

What we check before anything prints

In the chat, in seconds: the file opens, it's a PDF, the page count, CMYK colour, and that the page has the shape of the size you ordered, portrait or landscape.

After you pay, a person reviews it: bleed, text and logos inside the safe area, image resolution at the printed size, text height, embedded fonts and total ink. Then we send you a proof. Nothing prints until you approve it.

We don't edit files. If something needs changing, we tell you exactly what, in words your AI can act on.

Can I just upload the PNG?

No. We print PDFs only, so nothing gets resized or converted without you seeing it. ChatGPT can put the PNG into a PDF for you.

Will the colours match my screen?

Close, not identical. Screens mix light (RGB); printers mix ink (CMYK), which can't reach the brightest screen colours. Ask ChatGPT for CMYK colours, and check them on your proof.

My image has text in it. Is that OK?

It can print, but it's the part most likely to look wrong or blurry. Ask ChatGPT to add the words to the PDF as real text instead.
